Distiller - Liquor Reviews App Reviews

I dont really mind giving my date of birth...what really annoys me is that if you click on a particular scotch to read about it, when you hit the back arrow it takes you back to the beginning of the entire list. Didnt anyone test this before uploading it to Apple? If Ive scrolled down a hundred or so listings, I certainly dont want to have to do it again each time Im done reading about a particular scotch or bourbon. Major fail.

The content of distiller is wonderful. I love the layout and the concept. Im always adding new bottles to my wish list and I read every blog post without fail. The bummer here is that the app itself is miserable to use. No landscape orientation on an iPad? Why??? The distiller website has no trouble with this. Also, the search is glitchy and always kicks you back to the top of the list when you go back from looking at specific bottle. That search problem has been there for a number of different updates and may never go away. Oh well. I will still keep using it since the content is so strong, but I wish the app worked as well as the website and that the search issue would get fixed.

This is a very good app. It has a very comprehensive catalog of whiskeys and I really like the professional reviews. I also really enjoy the easy interface to add bottles to my collection, top shelf, and wish list. The only criticism is I wish you could sort whiskeys in your collection. Many bottles have been added through the months so the list is getting hard to navigate to find specific bottles. Ideally I would like to sort my collection and top shelf alphabetically by name, by rating, by country of origin, etc. Please add that feature in the next update and this will really be a fantastic app.

Very well done. A treasure trove of information, both informative and extensive. The "Recommend" function is particularly wonderful. In my opinion, the only thing lacking is the ability to search by flavor profile. Nice work!

What a great app! I love seeing the new reviews each week, and the writers are fantastic. Building my collection helps me remember each whisky Ive tried, and the wish list is great when choosing my next sample.Highly recommended!

I would have given it at least a four star rating, but the app logs me out every time I exit it. It didnt do this before the update. Once fixed Ill likely give it a 4 or 5 star rating.

Love the app. but hate that you have to log in every time you open it. If I wanted to do that, I can just visit the website.

Long time user and now Im done with this app. Dozens of reviews and comments now gone because the login doesnt pair up with my profile.

Love the app. Occasionally buggy with bringing up and retracting the keyboard. Looks like for the plus sized phone and iOS 9 it could use an update.

Not sure what happened with the last release but now, every time I open the app, I find that I am logged out and have to sign in again. Its super annoying. Fix this please!

Easy to use collection, rating and wishlist systems. Great social-network-like feeds while still maintaining some anonymity. A great app from a talented team, keep it up!

Used it occasionally. Reviews seem ok, but annoying carousel makes it difficult to actually read anything on the page. Cant the app focus on the content, which is why we acquired it, and not on cutesy developer tricks that distract from the content?

Every review shows a rating of 5 stars. This just recently happened with the new 2.0 update. Other then that its a must have app for whisky aficionados

Used this to learn and expand my experience with good drinks.

Overall bad experience, but willing to forgive because their desktop version is great. The first run of this to mobile is pretty bad though. It doesnt even feel like beta, there are some glaring bugs that render it almost useless. Going back signs you out, and I had to enter my birthday 3 times. Plus when you enter your number the field jumps down so you have to click each field 3 times. Save yourself the frustration, wait for updates.

Love the latest update, Ive been wanting to learn more about other kinds of spirits for a while. This app is an essential on my phone. Hope theres even more to come!
